There are so many ways to live this life. It is Lauren’s goal to walk with you toward your best one. Lauren warmly supports clients through mindfulness-based interventions and experiences intended to provide integration and reprocessing within the present moment. She invites clients to engage with breath, movement, expression, and play as a means to integrate and heal.

Lauren practices from a holistic and integrative perspective that values relationship and experience as foundational in healing. She is informed by attachment, transgenerational, existential-humanistic, somatic, narrative, eco-systemic, and cognitive behavioral therapy theories.

It is important to Lauren that she engage every client from a trauma-informed lens, which enacts choice, transparency, and a sense of physical and emotional safety.

Lauren has a master’s in Marriage, Couples, and Family therapy from Lewis and Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling. At Lewis and Clark, she specialized in sex therapy and participated in courses in family therapy theory, couples therapy, ecosystemic relational therapy, addiciton, child and adolescent development, expressive arts and play therapy, and beyond.  Lauren has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The University of Iowa, with minors in Anthropology and Human Relations.

Lauren participated in a practicum running socio emotional process groups with adolescents at Ron Russell Middle School in Portland Oregon. The focus of these groups were “belong and be you,” which promoted self-identity and individuality to support connection and a sense of belonging. Topics covered included bullying, anger, life changes, teamwork, etc.

In her first clinical year with Lewis and Clark, Lauren was a Marriage and Family therapy trainee at the Lewis and Clark Community Counseling Center. At LCCC, she saw individuals and couples virtually.

Lauren’s internship was with Washington County Counseling and Victim Services, where she worked with individuals, couples, and families in the Washington County area. This population included community referrals as well as clients mandated through the Oregon drug court program.

Lauren has experience working with clients with a history of incarceration, domestic violence history, LGBTQ+, as well as polyamourous clients.

As a registered associate, Lauren abides by the Code of Ethics set by the Oregon Board of Licensed Counselors and Therapists.

I'd love to raise baby goats someday
But in order to do that I'd need some land, so I hope to someday be in a position to buy property to house my baby goats.
In my free time
I like spending time with friends, watching netflix, exploring the woods, doing art, and playing my ukulele.
My best under-appreciated skill: creativity
I think that when it comes to creative outlets there's a lot of pressure to be "good" and "right". I work to let that go so I can freely express my creative side without judgment.
