Philisophy
Robyn is constantly striving to help her clients find their best self, whatever that means for them. She focuses heavily on family systems and works to not only help the individual toward recovery, but also to assist the environment to be supportive of those changes. She has extensive experience and training treating trauma and behavioral challenges with children, is very well versed in dialectical behavioral therapy, and relies strongly on cognitive behavioral therapy as a foundation to her practice.
Robyn is a mother, a wife, an avid animal lover, and is committed to encouraging and empowering people to seek recovery, peace, and wellness.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, & EXPERIENCE
Robyn graduated with a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacific University in 2005. She has been practicing in various capacities on the Oregon coast since 2006.
Robyn seeks continuing education regularly, including ethics training each year, to maintain her license, and to ensure that she is informed of the most current research and information on behavioral health practice available. She likes to focus on trainings that are challenging and expand her knowledge base.
Robyn adheres to the Codes of Ethics outlined by the American Counseling Association, the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists, and the Mental Health and Addictions Board of Oregon.
